MDT Report A Problem 1.1

MDT Report a Problem is the official app of the Montana Department of Transportation.

From a reviewer’s standpoint, MDT RAP provides a direct channel for the traveling public to report roadway issues to the department, including potholes, fallen rock, damaged signs, guardrail concerns, lighting or traffic signal issues, dead animals, and related hazards.

Users are asked to specify the type of problem, provide a concise description, and include location information.

When logged in, users can track the progress of their reports and share additional information that can help maintain public highways more efficiently.

Users can determine their current location by using the phone's GPS, or they may place a pin on a map, enter an address, or select the highway and mile marker location.

Submissions are logged and routed to the appropriate Maintenance Division for action.

MDT's mission is to serve the public by providing a transportation system and services that emphasize quality, safety, cost effectiveness, economic vitality and sensitivity to the environment.
